ISSHA members are invited to submit nominations for the Yasumoto Lifetime Achievement Award and the Patrick Gentien Young Scientist Award. To make a donation for the awards please go to the donation page.
The Yasumoto Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is offered in recognition of a long and outstanding record of contribution to harmful algal research by an ISSHA member (see the membership list (requires login)).
The Patrick Gentien Young Scientist Achievement Award
This award is offered in recognition of outstanding achievement in any aspect of harmful algal research by scientists early in their career (i.e. within ten years of receiving their PhD). The award is intended for an exceptional or “break-through” contribution to an area of harmful algae research, rather than a cumulative record of achievement. The nominee should be an ISSHA member (see the membership list).
Nomination procedure
Any ISSHA member in good standing may submit nominations for either achievement award, which should include a description of the nominee’s contribution (not more than one page). Please, make sure that you and your nominee are members.
ISSHA members will soon be invited to submit nominations for the 2025 Achievement Awards
